Homework and Classwork for the week of
January 19, 2010

Before discussing the upcoming week, I would like to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Rachel Juarez and I am very excited to be completing my student teaching in Ms. CP's classroom! I have had a wonderful time getting to know the students and I am looking forward to the next three months. I will be in Ms. CP's classroom until April 23rd before returning to Dominican University for graduation this May.

History

This week we will be discussing the Woman's Suffrage movement. We will be discussing the 72 year fight for suffrage from the Seneca Falls Convention to the passing of the 19th Amendment. Students will be analyzing political cartoons, watching censored parts of Iron Jawed Angels, and of course writing! We will be discussing the views of multiple suffrage groups (including anti-suffragists) as well as the role President Woodrow Wilson played.

1920's Pro/Con essays, Tuesday 1/19
