Week of August 31st

History

Our first full week is underway. We do NOT have a current event due on Tues. OR Geography.

The first current event will be due on Tues. Sept. 8th. It needs to be two full paragraphs of opinion and you need to have the article. Follow the directions for completion of the assignment and you'll be fine. See me for any help :-)

I will pass the first geography assignment out on Tuesday, Sept. 8th and it will be due on the 11th.

We are working in our Constitution books for the next few weeks so bring them with you every day!

Lit. Skills

We are waiting on the material I sent to the print shop before reading our first novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. It should be here shortly. We will be reading our personal reading books until then.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT IS COMING SOON! SEPT. 17TH IS FOR PARENTS ONLY. HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE THERE :-)

Welcome Back!!

This is going to be a great year! The first few days were a bit crazy and I know you did not 'get' all the things I told you in class. No worries, we will all learn quickly!
You all know you have a current event due on Tuesdays BUT NOT YET :-)
I will tell you when and it will be soon but not yet. NO geography either for the next week.

Mark on your calendars at home Oct. 14th however as you will be taking the Federal Constitution test that day.
We will begin learning all about the Constitution starting on Friday, Aug. 28th.

So relax, take a breath, and congratulate yourself at reaching the top rung of the Elementary school ladder.
